Travis Shrum

Meet Coach Travis

Coach Travis's martial arts journey began at age thirteen. By eighteen he had earned his first-degree black belt in karate, and achieved his second-degree black belt in his early twenties. His life of service includes serving as a United States Marine, a Hendersonville Police Officer, and running Shrum Insurance Services for over twenty-four years.

In 2013, Coach Travis began training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Jeremy Akin, the founder of Profectus Jiu-Jitsu. He has since earned his 1st Degree Black Belt in BJJ and collected multiple championship titles including IBJJF Champion and Masters Worlds Champion. As founder and head coach of Profectus Jiu-Jitsu Hendersonville, Coach Travis brings decades of discipline, service, and competitive excellence to every class he teaches.

Coach - Logan Nash 

Coach Logan is a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with 15 years of training across jiu-jitsu and mixed martial arts. With a decade of coaching experience, he brings a rare combination of competitive achievement and teaching skill to every class at Profectus Hendersonville.

As a competitor, Coach Logan has earned gold medals in both IBJJF and NAGA competitions and secured victories in MMA. As a coach, his impact speaks for itself — he has guided students at every level, from beginners finding their footing to athletes competing at the IBJJF Pan-American Championships. He has also developed the skills of numerous amateur and professional MMA fighters, making him one of the most versatile coaches in the region.

Coach Logan heads our kids and no-gi programs, bringing the same championship mindset to every student who steps on the mat.
